What We Believe
Mauldin United Methodist Church exists to bring glory to God by making disciples of Jesus Christ through "gospel"(good news)-centered worship, gospel-centered community, gospel-centered service and gospel-centered multiplication. We go forth to "Touch Lives for Christ."
Our Definition of A Fruitful Disciple:
A fruitful disciple is a FOLLOWER of JESUS CHRIST.
OBEDIENT to the WORD
CHANGED by GOD'S GRACE
and LED by the SPIRIT
to LOVE GOD and others as HE LOVES us.
We value ...
- each person having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
- the Bible as the Word of God and the authoritative basis of our faith
- spiritual growth through worship, study and prayer
- the dignity and worth of all people
- the inclusiveness of God's grace for all
- being in ministry to serve others throughout the world
- being good stewards of the resources that God has given us
- supportive Christian fellowship

How do I find out about the Methodist Church?
The best way is to attend one of our Inquirer's Gatherings which happens every Sunday morning at 10:00 am in the Church Parlor. If you park in one of the visitor parking spaces up front and walk into the glass entrance, someone will direct you to our Parlor (which is located just around the corner near the Main Sanctuary). Join our pastors for informal conversation about the church, theology, etc!
Another way to dig into the Methodist tradition is to go the website: www.umc.org
Are the services casual?
All of our worship services are casual ...some folks still wear them, but there's no need for a tie. Whether you worship in the traditional service in the Sanctuary or in the Spirit Center at LIVE (contemporary), you will find an exciting and compelling presentation of Biblical truths in word, song, and prayer.
How do I get involved in Sunday morning groups?
When you come to an Inquirers' Gathering, we will give you a Connect Book that lists all of our classes. We can also give you some direction on some possible good fits! We'd be happy to personally escort you to a few classes if you need us to. We're here to help you CONNECT. You can find all our Sunday morning groups listed on the website under the "Education & Groups" tab. Our suggestion is to try a few before deciding on one.
I have a child that I'd like to put in the nursery. How do I get there?
We understand that it is sometimes confusing to find your way around. There are 2 entrances. From the front parking lot facing the church, you will walk down the pathway on the right (past the Cindy Wren garden) and enter the doorway and follow the signs. You will head straight and turn right down some steps toward the nursery. There will be qualified, nursery workers to check your child in.
Another entrance is in the alley near the back of campus (between the main building and the gym/Spirit Center). There will be a set of black steps you can enter through to get to the nursery. Click here for more nursery details.
